We now have an exciting opportunity for a Network Segmentation Specialist to join our Information Technology Corporate Systems Team on a permanent, full-time basis. This hybrid role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, or Adelaide.
The primary objective of this role responsible for stable systems and services for the APA business through diligent management of proposed changes to the environment against the current policies, standards, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the Illumio endpoint segmentation solution, including strategy development, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Plan and coordinate the implementation of network maintenance activities such as disaster recovery tests, patching, firewall rule reviews, security audits, and configuration updates.
- Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of network initiatives.
- Develop and maintain technical playbooks for operational efficiency and best practices.
- Enhance collaboration across teams by running regular change forums.
Your background
- Strong understanding of endpoint segmentation solutions (Illumio preferred).
- Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, WANs, LANs, and SD-WAN technologies.
- Ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and vendors, translating complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on operational efficiency and quality improvements.
- A degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is highly regarded.
