The CyberCX Academy is an industry-leading, entry-level program designed to launch your career in cyber security. The CyberCX Academy is a paid, ongoing full-time employment opportunity. • 12 weeks of working on client projects to hone in-demand industry skills in a practical environment. 

Depending on your role specialisation, your training may also include one week of foundational core consulting training to provide tradecraft on engaging with clients, commercial and business acumen, and working in the professional services sector.

The CyberCX Academy is a full-time, ongoing employment opportunity. Full‑time, ongoing employment at CyberCX is defined as 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with additional reasonable hours as required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role and support the broader needs of CyberCX.

You’ll be working with our clients to identify their security needs and provide advice on cyber security best practice. Your advice will help protect organisations from cyber threats and empower them to thrive in a changing world. 

2. The technical pathway (If you are interested in code and tech tools). 

You might be developing and implementing security solutions, testing solutions, monitoring client systems, providing advice on system vulnerabilities, or investigating real cyber incidents.

About You

• A degree with at least four (4) years subsequent relevant experience in administration or operational coordination within a large or complex organisation, ideally healthcare, higher education or research.

The ICT Change Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing changes to IT systems, infrastructure, and applications to minimise risk, ensure service stability, and support business objectives. The Centre Manager will sit on the Centre’s Executive Committee and work closely with the Director and Deputy Director to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the Centre’s vision and objectives. The project will engage people with cognitive disabilities in the design of the next generation of home assistive technology, leveraging a step change in artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will ideally have research expertise in Human-Computer Interaction, with participatory design and in the disability sector. A technical background in Computing or Robotics is strongly recommended. The position-holder will conduct innovative qualitative research, including coordinating the project's fieldwork and will contribute to the supervision of students.

What you need to succeed

Level A  

Completion or near completion of a doctoral qualification in human computer interactions, computer science, robotics or related fields. 

1. Demonstrated ability of publishing qualitative research in leading journals and conferences.  
2. Demonstrated experience in collaborating with people with a disability in participatory design or co-design settings. 
3. Demonstrated ability to build interactive prototypes that embed AI-features (voice, text or image processing).  
4. Demonstrated ability to innovate and work independently. 
5. Developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work collegially and cooperatively in a team environment. 

Level B 

Completion of a doctoral qualification in human computer interactions, computer science, robotics or related fields.

2. Demonstrated experience in managing collaborative research projects with people with a disability in participatory design or co-design settings. 
3. Demonstrated ability to build interactive prototypes that embed AI-features (voice, text or image processing).  
4. Proven ability to innovate, work independently and supervise at graduate and postgraduate levels. 
5. Highly developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work collegially and cooperatively in a team environment.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Manager, HiQ Service Integration and Transition to join Student Engagement, Administrative Division.

With HiQ handling thousands of enquiries each month, the Manager, HiQ Service Integration and Transition will contribute to one of the most visited service channels on campus by working closely with other managers to support service integration and alignment. This is a richly complex environment, spanning high-volume contact centre operations, front-line service delivery, and marketing-focused future-student engagement campaigns. The role presents a strategic opportunity to collaborate on streamlining enquiry handling across channels, elevating the student experience, and driving digital innovation in alignment with QUT’s broader Digital and Connections Strategies. This fixed-term role has been established to assist HiQ during a transition period focused on service uplift and maturity. The Manager, HiQ Service Integration and Transition will lead and coordinate operational and service alignment across HiQ’s Contact Centre and Service Points/Future Students teams to strengthen practices and enhance service delivery. This role will ensure continuity of service, foster consistent approaches, and support strategic initiatives including the outcomes from the Contact Centre maturity assessment. The position will act as a key liaison between both teams, senior leadership, and external partners to enable a smooth transition and improved student experience, while promoting collaborative and inclusive practices.
