Principal Consultant, Business Process Analyst in Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division
- Reference number: 25022
- Term: Ongoing, full-time basis.
- Remuneration: $158,080 to $165,606 pa (HEW9) (inclusive of $133,579 to $139,939 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading).
- Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available).

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Principal Consultant, Business Process Analyst to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division.
The Principal Consultant, Business Process Analyst plays a vital role in leading and managing the review and analysis of business problems and enterprise processes and provides leadership and advice towards a solution. This role involves collaborating with various business stakeholders to plan, discover, and redesign processes and business solutions, with a strong focus on understanding business value and enhancing the customer experience. Within the Student and Stakeholder Engagement portfolio, the Principal Consultant, Business Process Analyst will be responsible for the review of processes and business requirements with the aim of process improvement, whilst working closely with solution architects, UX designers, software engineers, and testers to ensure that the processes and solutions are documented, built, and implemented in accordance with business expectation and in line with QUT and industry best practices.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field and extensive experience in ICT business analysis or business process principles and frameworks.
- Significant experience in business and process analysis and requirements gathering, with the demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and peers to gather requirements, conduct analysis and rapidly and accurately elicit requirements or solution design.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to conceptualise, establish and implement new initiatives and innovative solutions within a specified framework, including the ability to develop process mapping (as-is & to-be in BPMN), value stream mapping, data and systems documentation in accordance with industry standards.
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar role supporting the successful delivery of high-impact and high-value initiatives that lead to meaningful change and continuous improvement, with a proven ability to use initiative and self-drive to meet demanding deadlines.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to write clear and precise user and technical specifications, business cases, showcase presentations and reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders across all levels of the organisation along with the ability to exercise judgement in an impartial manner, provide advice and recommend, manage and implement change.
