About the Opportunity

The Chief Digital Officer (CDO) is the University’s most senior information technology leader, overseeing a team of over 300 staff to provide client-focused IT services to all University employees. As a member of the Corporate Services senior leadership team, the CDO also serves as a key adviser to the University’s Executive Group.

A core responsibility of the CDO is to develop and implement the University’s IT and Digital Strategy, which is a vital enabler of the broader institutional strategy. To achieve this, the CDO leads the Digital Solutions team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and responsive technology services that meet the evolving needs of stakeholders. The role has a strong emphasis on driving digital transformation, strengthening cyber resilience, fostering strategic partnerships, and ensuring disciplined management of IT investments and value delivery.

This role also plays a crucial part in the University’s fraud and corruption control efforts. The CDO is expected to be well-versed in the University’s Fraud and Corruption Control Framework and is accountable for effectively managing the relevant prevention, detection, and reporting controls within their area of responsibility.

About you

• The occupant of this position will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in the information technology and systems field and/or relevant extensive experience demonstrating the skills, knowledge and expertise appropriate to the functions of the role.
• Proven experience operating in a large, complex organisation, demonstrating the ability to navigate diverse stakeholder environments, manage competing priorities, and deliver strategic outcomes across multiple business units.
• Candidates with experience in the education sector will be well regarded.

Here’s what your day-to-day looks like:

This program is focused on making our operations more adaptable and efficient in response to an evolving energy landscape.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be focused on the replacement of our Outage Management System. The Outage Management System (OMS) is a key tool used for the planning and management of planned and unplanned outages across the Powerlink network. The OMS Project will deliver an integrated solution replacing Powerlink’s legacy outage management application (iTOA), and improved outage planning and management processes.  

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Admin, Engineering, or a lesser qualification coupled with significant experience

 As an experienced Business Analyst, you will possess a strong sense of initiative and the ability to drive best practices and processes within projects. Experience with regulatory compliance, preferably AEMO, is key to succeeding in this role. You will have advanced skills in process mapping, gap analysis, and project delivery frameworks, along with knowledge of Business Process Model & Notation (BPMN).

Strong negotiation skills, a proactive mindset, keen attention to detail, and the ability to drive best practices and processes are crucial. Experience with Signavio is preferable. Additionally, you will have strong communication skills across a variety of stakeholder groups, including technical stakeholders. Demonstrating ownership and accountability in delivering results is critical for this role.

About the role

Transmax is seeking to appoint a Senior Graphic Designer – Level 3 on a parental leave cover role for 18 months max-term to join our close-knit, high-performing marketing team.

Your role will be taking over responsibility for leading and overseeing the visual design aspects of a range of projects, collaborating with internal teams to create compelling visuals and ensure brand consistency as well as the design of STREAMS road schematics and user interfaces for state government road agency customers.

A snapshot of your day-to-day 

• Design road schematics and user interfaces for a range of customer projects.
• Road schematics include relevant elements of the physical road environment and allow customers (users) to view real-time traffic in a simple and stylised display of the transport network.
• The schematics are initially submitted in the form of technical road construction plans. The designer will need to translate these into a vector map depicting all the lane alignments, intersections, ramps, and landmarks (depicting the actual road as best as possible) 
• Present the user interfaces and schematics visually so that information is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to find.
• Design and execute print or digital marketing assets and visual content for various platforms (Mailchimp EDMs, web assets, presentations, marketing collateral, and corporate reports).
• Maintain design guidelines and a consistent visual identity across all projects, ensuring strong brand recognition.
• Create infographics to convey complex information in a visually appealing way.

About you

We are seeking a highly organised Graphic Designer demonstrating attention to detail and the ability to multitask and problem solve concurrent issues.

You will be a motivated self-starter and hold a Qualification in Graphic Design (Industrial Design, Visual Communication or similar) and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Graphic or Visual Design field. 

Your toolkit for success will include:

• Advanced experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)
• Ability to read technical documentation (road construction plans).
• Advanced experience creating vector graphics, large-scale artwork.
• Experience in creating maps.
• Experience in print and digital media and design of marketing collateral (brochures, annual reports, posters, style guides, Mailchimp newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, infographics, pre-press).
• Project management – managing design projects from concept to completion, including timelines and deliverables.
• Brand management.

Ideally, you will have:

• Adobe After Effects
• WordPress content management system
• Figma
