An exciting opportunity is available for a qualified and experienced candidate to join the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child in the Connected Child program with a focus on how children may develop digital media literacies in formal and informal settings, and children’s experiences of new technologies such as AI and gaming platforms. Considering the role industry and policy development plays in mediating these experiences is an important aspect of this opportunity. The Research Fellow will engage in research that sustains their outstanding research leadership and national and/or international reputation in the research area. What you need to succeed

1. Completion of a PhD or other recognised doctoral qualification (or a recent submission) in a discipline aligned to the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child (see https://digitalchild.org.au/ for further details) with experience in a field relevant to videogames, other digital technologies, human–computer interaction, or psychology.
2. Under the supervision of qualified tradespersons, the apprentice will develop skills across all aspects of machining within a workshop environment. Through the apprenticeship program, the apprentice will gain both theoretical knowledge and hands on experience in the manufacture, repair, and replacement of engineering components used across a range of machinery and plant equipment.
