What you’ll do

We’re looking for a tenacious, ambitious Product Manager excited to transform Open’s sales experience and unlock our next $200M+ of growth.

In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team of designers, engineers and data scientists to completely reimagine how customers engage with our sales journeys - leveraging both best-in-class third-party technologies and Open’s proprietary digital products.

You’ll do this by:

• Developing a detailed understanding of the needs of Open’s partners and their customers, alongside a strong understanding of the commercial model that makes it work for everyone
• Developing and maintaining a well balanced portfolio of growth plays and more transformational product enhancements that work back from quarterly goals through to day-to-day delivery
• Working closely with Growth managers to understand the needs and opportunities of Open partners and their customersLeading elaboration of the stories Open delivers, working with
• designers and senior engineers to balance feasibility and desirability
• Ensuring that the platform operates within defined regulatory and compliance guidelines
• Obsessing about product analytics that measure impact and inform direction

You will report directly to Open’s Chief Product Officer.

• 3+ years of experience in digital, data or transformation from a top tier consulting firm or product-led scale-up

Role location

We are seeking a Clinical Assistant (2 positions available) to join School of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Health.

We are looking to expand our team with someone who understands the values, culture, and strengths of Pasifika communities. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to research that is for the community to shape better futures for generations to come. The Research Assistant is a clinical professional who will assist in the recruitment and assessment of participants in the Genomics Research Centre’s Pasifika Health Study. As a member of a research team, the Research Assistant will have responsibility for performing clinical procedures including blood collection and processing, blood sample preparation, measurement of vital signs and data entry. The role is an integral part of the study team and will work collaboratively with all members of the team.

The Genomics Research Centre (GRC) is one of the laboratories within the CGPH and operates under the direction of Distinguished Professor Lyn Griffiths. The GRC performs molecular genetic research on common human traits and disorders and has significant genomics capability and infrastructure. The Pacific Islander (Pasifika) Health Study aims to better understand why Pasifika communities, who have been historically underrepresented in health and genetic research, face much higher rates of conditions like type 2 diabetes, obesity, chronic kidney disease, and gout. By working alongside Pasifika communities in Queensland, this study will investigate how genetic, lifestyle, and environmental factors contribute to these health issues, with the goal of uncovering new knowledge to inform better prevention, diagnosis, and treatment options that are tailored to Pasifika peoples. Importantly, this project is committed to delivering direct benefits back to the communities involved. Our funding partner will provide short-term community funding worth up to $100,000 USD once sample collection is complete, and share 4% of their future company revenue or equity value with partner communities. These funds will be directed toward local health, education, environment, and culture initiatives, in collaboration with community leaders.

What you need to succeed

1. Completion of an associate diploma with relevant experience in a clinical environment and hold a Certificate III in Pathology Collection or relevant qualifications/experience equivalent to this certification.
2. Proven experience performing venipuncture, blood processing, medical examinations and monitoring patients’ vital signs.
3. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the proven ability to work independently and as a productive team member with the ability to organise and prioritise workload.
4. High level of digital literacy with the demonstrated ability in using multiple systems to access and accurately input data.
5. Prior experience working with patients or research participants and an understanding of requirements for clinical trials and research.

Griffith University is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Lead – Cyber Security to lead our operational cyber defence capabilities within the Digital Solutions division. Reporting to the Deputy Director – Cyber Security, this role is responsible for overseeing the university’s team of security analysts and the managed Security Operations Centre (SOC), ensuring Griffith’s digital environment remains secure, resilient, and responsive to emerging threats.

This is a leadership position that combines technical expertise with people management, operational oversight, and strategic alignment. You will play a key role in shaping Griffith’s cyber security posture, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Lead and manage Griffith’s internal team of cyber security analysts, providing mentorship, performance management, and professional development.
• Oversee the operations of the managed Security Operations Centre (SOC), ensuring effective threat monitoring, incident response, and escalation processes.
• Coordinate and enhance operational frameworks, playbooks, and procedures to support consistent and high-quality cyber defence.
• Drive vulnerability management and remediation activities across Griffith’s digital infrastructure.
• Provide expert cyber security advice and guidance to staff and students, promoting awareness and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align cyber security operations with business priorities, compliance obligations, and strategic goals.

About you

• Demonstrated experience in leading cyber security teams and managing SOC operations in complex environments.
• Strong technical background in threat detection, incident response, and security technologies (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, EDR, firewalls).
• Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver results under pressure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Relevant qualifications in cyber security, information technology, or related fields. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.

Desirable:

• Professional certifications including CISSP and/or CISM
• Experience in team mentoring and developing staff capability.
• A working knowledge of cyber security threat trends, hunting and analysis techniques.
• Experience working in a Higher Education environment.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in Coral Reef Restoration to join School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Faculty of Science.

The Postdoctoral Fellow in Coral Reef Restoration will join an international and collaborative team of scientists and coral reef restoration practitioners contributing to the Coral Research & Development Accelerator Program (CORDAP) Project on enhancing substrate availability to accelerate reef recovery using novel underwater bioadhesives. The project addresses the challenge to reef recovery which is hindered by poor substrate quality or limited substrate availability. Our novel solution to this ever-accelerating problem is Underwater Bioadhesives that can be integrated into modern reef restoration strategies. Here we will use bioadhesive materials to strengthen substrates for coral settlement, stabilize reef slopes by binding loose rubble, and attach coral fragments as an alternative to concrete and chemical glues.

1. Completion of a doctoral qualification in marine science, marine biology, reef ecology or related fields. 
2. Demonstrated fieldwork experience/skills on coral reefs (e.g., diving, deploying instruments, underwater data and sample/image collection; operating research vessels, data management). 
3. Demonstrated experience in undertaking ecological assessments of coral reef benthic communities. 
4. Demonstrated ability to use underwater imaging and image processing or experience in photogrammetry. 
5. Demonstrated proficiency in basic analytical (e.g., Image J) and statistical software (e.g., R or Matlab) and statistical analysis. 
6. Solution-focused, and proven ability to contribute to a high performance and collaborative culture. 
7. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and publish research outcomes in a timely manner. 

Desirable:

• Experience with laboratory aquarium systems and maintenance.
• Supervisory experience of postgraduate or undergraduate students and projects.
• Experience in applying for, and a successful track record in being awarded, grant funding.

About You

• Relevant qualifications in IT or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Proficiency in developing microservice-based applications using Node.js and TypeScript, with experience in RESTful APIs.
• Experience with database technologies (both relational and NoSQL) such as Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, and DynamoDB.
