The bdna Products team of business analysts, software developers, engineers, testers and forensic subject matter experts work closely with law enforcement and forensic laboratories to improve forensic service delivery through specialist products.

The technical Support Engineer role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, including finding innovative and efficient solutions to complex issues and the ability to resolve complex technical issues with efficiency and precision.

You will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our customers. You will manage and resolve incidents, problems, and service requests in alignment with customer SLAs while participating in an on-call support roster to ensure 24/7 service availability.

This position requires strong analytical skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a solid technical background in cloud technologies, ideally with familiarity in Microsoft Azure and ITIL-based support practices

What’ll you do

• Support of bdna commercial software and provide timely and effective technical support via phone, email, and remote support tools.
• Provide technical support, maintenance and upgrades to all existing and future bdna customers
• Foster positive relationships through the use of excellent customer service skills
• Practice excellent incident management problem solving with a view of providing innovative and timely solutions to customer challenges
• Monitor application and infrastructure alerts, proactively preventing customer-impacting incidents
• Assist in change management processes and planned maintenance communications
• Identify trends in support issues and recommend long-term solutions to reduce recurring incidents
• Contribute to continual improvement of support processes aligned with ITIL best practices
• Support production environments including troubleshooting infrastructure issues, identifying and classifying bugs and data engineering tasks to facilitate investigation and reporting
• Document your work and decisions within service management tools (including ServiceNow)
• Work within bdna’s Continuous Integration (CI) environment and tooling
• Work closely and productively with other bdna developers, QA, Infrastructure teams, UX designers, business and systems analysts
• Work within a team and participate in a roster to provide after hours on-call support 
• Represent bdna on customer sites as and when required
• Prioritise work to ensure all tickets and issues are resolved within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Work with limited supervision 
• Have an awareness and understanding of other cultures, beliefs and diversities of our clients and team
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to the great culture of bdna

What you’ve got

• An exceptional understanding of SQL (minimum 3 years), including advanced querying techniques, optimisation strategies and database management 
• Solid demonstrated understanding of and experience with Microsoft Azure and the ability to troubleshoot issues in that platform
• Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira Service Management or ServiceNow
• Proficient in troubleshooting Windows-based environments, web applications, and APIs
• Exceptional technical skills and expertise across a wide range of technologies and platforms
• Excellent skills in diagnosing, analysing and resolving cloud application and database issues
• Exceptional problem solving skills, including finding innovative and efficient solutions to complex issues 
• A high level of analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem solving
• Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical clients
• Ability to manage tasks effectively while dealing with multiple customer needs
• Ability to understand code or a background in software engineering will be highly regarded 
• Experience supporting custom-built or bespoke software solutions

Qualifications/Certifications

• A degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
• Microsoft Certified Azure Data Fundamentals 
• ITIL Foundation certification

As a Domain Architect – Security, you’re key to shaping and securing EQL’s digital landscape. Sitting within the Domain Architecture team, you define and maintain, in close collaboration with the Cyber and Information Security Group, our cyber security architecture – ensuring our systems, data, and digital assets remain protected in an increasingly complex threat environment.

Working across a dynamic ICT and OT environment, you assist the Cybersecurity function to identify and prioritise our cyber security needs and lead the development and implementation of reference architectures and patterns. You guide architectural decisions through an expert security lens, support the secure design of enterprise and solution architectures, and collaborate closely with architects, security specialists, delivery teams, and senior leaders to embed security across everything we do.

Here’s what your day-to-day looks like:

• Developing security reference architectures and patterns to guide technology adoption, solution design, and implementation.
• Participating in Cybersecurity led risk assessments and threat modelling to proactively identify and address security threats.
• Working alongside architecture, cyber security risk and operations professionals to provide expert security guidance and leadership across solution designs, ensuring architecture solutions are practical, scalable, aligned with business needs and commensurate with EQL’s cyber security risk appetite, policies, and standards.
• Driving innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and ensuring their secure adoption – particularly in areas like cloud and AI – to support EQL’s digital strategy.

What you’ll bring:

Relevant tertiary qualifications and certifications including:

• Essential – A degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
• Desirable – Formal architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF or those from major cloud/technology providers).

• A sound understanding of end-to-end security controls, risk management practices, and modern security principles, techniques, and protocols.
• Strong technical skills in security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption, and access control.
• Strong knowledge of security tools such as SIEM, anti-malware, endpoint protection, URL and application control, and email filtering.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS Cloud security architectures and DevSecOps practices and tools.

This role plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of RSL QLD’s ERP initiatives from inception to completion, providing technical expert services and advice while liaising closely with DBS, vendors, clients and key stakeholders. This is functional role within the ERP program in delivering solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365FO).  

Some of the key accountabilities include: 

• Create and implement work items for assigned projects and support translation of group strategy into objectives and work items.  
• Manage the documentation of business and system processes resulting from business analysis.  
• Create or evaluate the customer's business process to inform system configuration and technical activities.  
• Contribute to business workshops, with business and product management, to analyse and design solutions for any application and/or process gaps detected during analysis.

About you:  

• Tertiary degree in Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.  
• 5+ years’ Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 ERP in a functional or consulting role.   
• Possess sound end-to-end SDL process knowledge and experience and can learn RSL Queensland’s Way of Working.  
• Excellent communication skills and commitment to tangible outcomes in a complex project environment. 

Your solid consulting skills in client engagement and knowledge of at least one of finance, HR/Payroll, financial reporting or other modules for D365FO will make your application even more competitive.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Mobile Apps team to deliver high quality and secure software. As part of an agile team, this role will be primarily responsible for all facets of the aXcelerate mobile apps and in addition, but not limited to, projects of the LMS module.

About You

• 5+ years of experience in software development with the main focus on mobile app development
• Strong experience with HTML / CSS / JavaScript / TypeScript
• Strong experience with React or React Native is essential
• Experience with working with RESTFul APIs and handling asynchronous operations
• Experience with version control tools such as GIT
• Passionate about all things software and development

About the role

Transmax is seeking to appoint a Senior Graphic Designer – Level 3 on a parental leave cover role for 18 months max-term to join our close-knit, high-performing marketing team.

Your role will be taking over responsibility for leading and overseeing the visual design aspects of a range of projects, collaborating with internal teams to create compelling visuals and ensure brand consistency as well as the design of STREAMS road schematics and user interfaces for state government road agency customers.

A snapshot of your day-to-day 

• Design road schematics and user interfaces for a range of customer projects.
• Road schematics include relevant elements of the physical road environment and allow customers (users) to view real-time traffic in a simple and stylised display of the transport network.
• The schematics are initially submitted in the form of technical road construction plans. The designer will need to translate these into a vector map depicting all the lane alignments, intersections, ramps, and landmarks (depicting the actual road as best as possible) 
• Present the user interfaces and schematics visually so that information is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to find.
• Design and execute print or digital marketing assets and visual content for various platforms (Mailchimp EDMs, web assets, presentations, marketing collateral, and corporate reports).
• Maintain design guidelines and a consistent visual identity across all projects, ensuring strong brand recognition.
• Create infographics to convey complex information in a visually appealing way.

About you

We are seeking a highly organised Graphic Designer demonstrating attention to detail and the ability to multitask and problem solve concurrent issues.

You will be a motivated self-starter and hold a Qualification in Graphic Design (Industrial Design, Visual Communication or similar) and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Graphic or Visual Design field. 

Your toolkit for success will include:

• Advanced experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)
• Ability to read technical documentation (road construction plans).
• Advanced experience creating vector graphics, large-scale artwork.
• Experience in creating maps.
• Experience in print and digital media and design of marketing collateral (brochures, annual reports, posters, style guides, Mailchimp newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, infographics, pre-press).
• Project management – managing design projects from concept to completion, including timelines and deliverables.
• Brand management.

Ideally, you will have:

• Adobe After Effects
• WordPress content management system
• Figma
