The opportunity

As the LMS Product Manager at aXcelerate, you’ll take ownership of our native Learning Management System and shape the strategic vision that drives ongoing product success. The role is all about enabling a stellar learning experience for students, while building a great platform for content authors, assessors, and administrators. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs, monitor market trends and define a clear, achievable roadmap. You’ll champion discovery, prioritisation and delivery practices that ensure we ship high-value, user-centric features aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

🧭 Product vision: Lead the strategic direction for the learning management system, setting a clear and compelling vision that aligns teams and drives meaningful outcomes.

🤝 Stakeholder collaboration: Engage closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer needs, market trends and business goals, translating insights into actionable requirements.

📊 Roadmap ownership: Prioritise features and enhancements, define MVPs and maintain a transparent roadmap that guides delivery for the next three months and beyond.

🧩 Backlog management: Refine and organise design and development backlogs, ensuring teams have well-defined, high-value tasks ready for each sprint cycle.

🚀 Feature delivery: Partner with engineering to scope, plan and deliver quality features on time, ensuring initiatives meet project goals and positively move key metrics.

📣 Release communication: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Professional Services to articulate feature value, produce clear release notes and support documentation, and ensure customers understand product changes.

🔍 Continuous improvement: Contribute to refining processes within the Product Team to improve efficiency, delivery quality and cross-functional alignment.

About you

● Min 2-3 years of commercial experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or relevant transferable role.

● Strong understanding of product management methodologies and the product development lifecycle.

● Experience working with cloud-based applications, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.

● Skilled in stakeholder communication, problem-solving and balancing competing priorities.

● Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time-management abilities.

● Experience with Product development tools such as Jira, Figma and Amplitude, as well as proficiency with using AI tools in your workflow.

● Ability to work collaboratively across different departments and disciplines in the business and align people around a shared vision.

● Excited by creating exceptional digital products and understanding what drives product success in the market.

● Passionate, driven, and motivated to tackle new challenges while learning along the way.

● Experience working with or using Learning Management Systems. (Desirable)

● Exposure to the Australian VET sector or aXcelerate products, and experience contributing to software development or QA processes. (Desirable)

The Role

In this role, you’ll use scalable communication, automation and digital content to support our mid-tier customers throughout their lifecycle. About You

• Min 2+ years’ experience in Customer Success or a digital engagement role.
• Proven ability to manage large customer portfolios using scalable, automated communication methods.
• Strong understanding of customer lifecycle management and product adoption strategies.
• Comfortable interpreting data, usage metrics and health indicators to inform action.
• Experience developing or delivering digital content (email campaigns, webinars, guides, etc.).
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills, with a strength in clear customer education.
• Proficiency with CRM and automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot or similar).
• Able to manage competing priorities and deliver consistently at scale.
• Calm, structured approach to managing escalations and problem-solving.
• Highly proactive with strong ownership and follow-through; comfortable in iterative, data-driven environments.
• Desirable: experience in EdTech and SaaS; exposure to cross-functional collaboration; and/or contributing to a scaling Customer Success function.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Chief Remote Pilot to join Research Infrastructure, Research Portfolio, Academic Division.

The Chief Remote Pilot provides leadership and management of all aviation activities of QUT, with a special focus on the delivery of remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) services across the university, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g. Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA)). This position leads and enables QUT’s RPAS services team through active contribution as a certified RPAS operator. In addition, this position provides leadership and management of activities at QUT's Space Technology Precinct (Yandiwanba), including the provision of technical expertise and management of building infrastructure to establish and operate the Lunar Testbed Facility. The role will ensure that the Yandiwanba facility and RPAS team enable research and provide solutions to academic and industry clients through the effective management and deployment of appropriate human, physical and virtual resources. In addition, the Chief Remote Pilot will ensure the design and implementation of effective and efficient systems and processes at Yandiwanba and will provide leadership in planning future capabilities aligned with QUT’s research priorities. The Chief Remote Pilot will drive engagement with researchers, collaborators and industry partners.

Capabilities span drones and aviation, robotics and autonomous systems, energy systems, design and systems integration, structural engineering and testing, and data acquisition, processing and management. REF’s Kelvin Grove presence is primarily focused at Yandiwanba - a Space Technology Precinct for research, design, prototyping, systems integration, validation and verification of autonomous systems. This facility is the host location for QUT’s RPAS and Remote Sensing group, and of the Lunar Testbed Facility..

What you need to succeed

1. Education, training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience in Engineering, Applied Science, or Aviation Science.
2. Successful completion of the CASA Instrument Rating Theory Examination (IREX), eligibility to apply for or hold a CASA Remote Pilot’s Licence (RePL) for multirotor < 25kg and fixed wing < 120kg, and demonstrated knowledge of CASA procedures and processes to enable BVLOS approvals.
3. Demonstrated experience and ability to build, lead and manage a high performing team; including developing team culture, monitoring performance, providing feedback, allocating work, and staff training and development. 
4. Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to coordinate a diverse range of complex activities within a resource constrained environment, with a focus on delivering client’s needs while maintaining the highest level of compliance and respect.

Non-Executive Director Opportunity  

This is a voluntary role, and WiT welcomes applicants from all over Australia. In addition to seeking individuals working in any of the science, technology, engineering, and math sectors, our Board has identified specific skills and experiences that would be valuable additions. The selected individual will actively contribute to our growth, oversee the organisation’s performance, and ensure that we meet our strategic objectives and operational outcomes. At times, Directors are requested to leverage their networks and facilitate introductions for the WiT General Manager to identify potential WiT sponsors and supporters. 

In addition to those working in STEM, we encourage individuals with skills, knowledge, and experience in some of the following areas to apply: 

• Legal and Corporate Governance expertise 
• Experience working with not-for-profit entities 
• Non-executive director experience 

Directors are required to attend Board meetings and serve on at least one Committee. Meetings happen both online and in person. The role involves approximately 10 hours per month, including attending meetings, preparing for them, and engaging in other organisational activities as needed.

• A strong understanding of corporate governance principles, particularly as they apply to Audit and Risk Committee functions. 
• A genuine passion for, or background in, the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) sectors. 
• Highly regarded: Previous experience as a Non-Executive Director, Treasurer, or member of a Funding or Audit and Risk Committee. Experience with not-for-profit finances, particularly for events or membership models, is also a plus.

The role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll hit the ground running as part of our dynamic engineering team powering the aXcelerate platform. Your focus will be on building secure, high-quality software focusing on front end software development while collaborating in an agile environment alongside juniors, seniors, and team leads. This is an opportunity to shape the systems and technology that underpin our product.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

🚀 Drive complex projects end-to-end, from technical design through to launch.

💡Showcase & further develop your frontend skills(React) by helping uplift and modernise component driven front-ends, within existing applications

🤝 Promote best practices such as code reviews, unit testing, automation, and operational excellence.

🧭 Balance technical debt with product development priorities and identify opportunities for improvement.

🔍 Stay ahead of emerging technologies, prototyping and implementing solutions focused on reliability, security, performance, and cost.

💡 Solve complex architectural challenges with innovative, industry-aligned solutions.

📚 Mentor and coach junior and mid-level developers, supporting their professional growth.

🌐 Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and design teams to build high-impact solutions.

You’ll bring:

⚛️ Frontend expertise with React and TypeScript.

💻 5+ years’ full-stack development experience with proficiency across a range of technologies.

🔧 High proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows.

⚡ Proven experience resolving customer-facing issues effectively and efficiently.

📖 A collaborative and learning mindset seeking to improve teamwork and to stay current with new technologies.

🐳 Experience with containerisation and serverless technologies in AWS (desirable).

🛠️ Backend experience building APIs and serverless functions with Node.js (desirable).
