We are seeking an Associate Lecturer in Nursing (2 positions available) to join School of Nursing, Faculty of Health.

The School of Nursing has an exciting opportunity for two Associate Lecturers to join our team. We invite outstanding registered nurses to apply for an ongoing, full-time Associate Lecturer position in Nursing. The successful candidate will be committed to a balanced academic role and to actively preparing the next generation of registered nurses while advancing their research and leadership. The role includes but is not limited to the coordination of units, teaching and assessment of academic units of study, assisting clinical facilitators and other clinical staff working with students on placement, providing academic support for students both on campus and on placement, supervising students and facilitating clinical learning, and ensuring the quality of student learning experiences.

What you need to succeed

1. Completion of a Masters degree with significant progress toward a doctoral qualification or PhD in a nursing or health care related field and a current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA). As well as additional certification required for ongoing clinical practice or clinical supervision (Blue Card, CPR, first aid, and full vaccination including an approved COVID19 vaccine).

2. Demonstrated excellence in, and highlevel understanding of, the full scope of Australian contemporary nursing practice.

3. Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching including the ability to embed future-focused thinking in the development of scholarly and innovative approaches to teaching and learning in clinical settings. 

4. Experience engaging in nursing and interdisciplinary health research with the ability to undertake additional/further research. 

5. Strong organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to coordinate activities, work to deadlines and supervise clinical placements.

6. Well-developed aptitude for teamwork and proven ability to work collaboratively. 

7. Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.

MACSYS brings together mathematical, computational, and biological scientists to generate the mathematics and computational technologies required to make biology predictive. We are seeking a Senior Information Security Operations Engineer to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division.

The Senior Information Security Operations Engineer plays a key role in ensuring that information assets and associated technology, applications, systems, infrastructure and processes are adequately protected in the digital ecosystem in which QUT operates. This position oversees a variety of cybersecurity and IT risk management activities to ensure the achievement of university outcomes where the business process is dependent on technology. In addition, the role is responsible for providing input to the development and evaluation of new strategies to address cyber security risks.

What you need to succeed

1. Education, certification, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with subsequent experience in providing Information Security support services in a complex environment. This should include experience in at least three or more of the following expertise: system administration, cloud administration (AWS/ Azure), communication and network security, software development security, identity and access management, security architecture and engineering.
2. Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience with security tools and controls including Splunk Enterprise Security, technical security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint detection and remediation, email protection.
3. Proven DevOps experience for system integration and Security Operations and Automation using knowledge of common programming or scripting languages.
4. Excellent analytical skills combined with current knowledge of existing and evolving Information Security issues and the threat landscape, with an ability to transform findings into actionable risk items.
5. Proven experience in client relationship management, demonstrating insight to client needs and in assisting them in the formation of relevant IT security solutions.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate information security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences at various hierarchical levels.

The Coordinator, Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance contributes to the delivery of information security governance, risk management, control assurance and compliance activities aligned to QUT’s Information Security Policy framework, regulatory obligations and institutional risk appetite.

The role operates as an experienced practitioner within the Information Security function, providing delivery of defined activities and supporting the production of evidence-based risk and compliance outputs.

The Coordinator works collaboratively with stakeholders across faculties, divisions and project teams to ensure risks are identified, assessed and managed in accordance with security policies, standards and regulatory obligations.

The position supports the implementation of control assurance processes, including the collection and validation of evidence and maintenance of governance artefacts.
