The Academic Lead, Assessment and Evaluation is an important role to develop and manage innovative, evidence-based assessment strategies for a newly established School of Medicine. 3. Established expertise in the design, implementation and evaluation of assessments in health professional education programs including the use of technology to support systems of assessment.
4. Knowledge of evaluation frameworks for medical education and experience in curriculum mapping and alignment of assessments with learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
5. Ability to analyse assessment and evaluation data to ensure quality, fairness and compliance with university and external accreditation requirements
6. Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and demonstrated ability to contribute to faculty development in health professions assessment and evaluation. A strong track record in scholarship of and/or research in assessment and/or evaluation in health professions education.
7. Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with broad stakeholder groups (professional, academic and clinical staff).

We are seeking a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer to join School of Mechanical, Medical and Process Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.

Located within the School of Mechanical, Medical and Process Engineering (MMPE), in the Faculty of Engineering (FoE), the Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will undertake high quality teaching and research in mechanical engineering with a specific focus on thermofluids, fluid dynamics and/or energy engineering. As a member of the School, the Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will contribute to the overall success and high quality teaching outputs of the engineering degree. The candidate must be able to teach across all parts of the degree and be willing to cross-cover other teaching as required. The Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will also assist the School and Faculty with the redesign of the engineering curriculum including the creation of new offerings. The Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will be a key member of the School and Faculty’s research community, helping to advance knowledge through mechanical engineering applications and the creation of innovative and novel ideas. The candidate will have the ability to participate in multi-disciplinary research teams to address the problems of our times. The position will also assist with the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

What you need to succeed

1. Completion of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) qualification with a major in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant engineering discipline) and a PhD qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field).
2. Demonstrated capacity to undertake high quality learning and teaching at a tertiary education level including the ability to implement innovative teaching practices, such as blended learning and authentic assessment. At Level C, the candidate will have demonstrated experience in co-ordination and lecturing of tertiary level units.
3. Demonstrated academic research experience in mechanical engineering, specifically, thermofluids, fluid dynamics, renewable energy, energy systems, or a highly related field, including a track record in producing high quality publications, securing external research funding, and the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students. At Level C, the candidate will have demonstrated independent leadership in developing and managing research projects. 
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the demonstrated capacity to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Experience working directly in industry and/or undertaking university-based industry research with an external partner is highly desirable.  
5. Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team to deliver outcomes.
6. Demonstrated capacity to undertake a leadership role within the school. At Level C the candidate would have significant demonstrated leadership experience in teaching and/or research in the tertiary education sector.
