The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Workday Integration Lead to join our Information Technology team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, or Adelaide.

This role will be responsible for leading the Workday integrations support function, with a focus on managing live integrations while designing, configuring, and deploying new integrations between Workday and external systems across the HCM, Financials, and Procurement modules.

Key Responsibilities

•  Lead the design, development, and support of Workday inbound and outbound integrations, including modifications and new integrations.
•  Ensure future integrations align with approved functional and technical requirements.
•  Oversee incident management, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication.
• Perform break/fix support, regression testing, and manage integration monitoring and alerting.
• Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure seamless interface design and maintenance.
• Mentor a Workday Systems Analyst and promote innovation within integration technology.
•  Manage Workday release support and continuously optimise integration processes. 

Your background

•  Strong experience in designing and supporting Workday integrations with downstream systems.
• Hands-on expertise with Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Web Services (SOAP, REST API), and PECI payroll integration (preferably Chris21).
• Strong knowledge of Workday implementation tools, including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, and iLoad.
• Experience in Cloud Connect, RaaS, BIRT development, and XSLT document transformation.
•  Experience reviewing new Workday releases and optimising existing processes and integrations accordingly.
• Ability to manage integration updates and enhancements while ensuring system stability.
•  Proven ability to collaborate with multiple technical and functional stakeholders across different levels.
• Experience managing technical vendor relationships, particularly with Workday vendors for integration support.

The AWS Cloud Platform Engineer is a hands-on role focused on building, maintaining, uplifting and securing APA's cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. Working at the direction of the Platform Owner, this role involves automating infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, providing technical support to users and creating reusable architecture patterns to accelerate and standardise platform adoption and usage.

This position is crucial for maintaining the robustness and security of APA's cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets the organisation's needs and industry standards. Is critical for creating a seamless customer experience, enabling workload teams to onboard efficiently and use the platform's capabilities productively. A focus on modern DevOps practices and AWS best practices will be essential for success.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Development & Uplift: Design, implement, and maintain AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM); build reusable IaC templates; ensure platform scalability and performance.
• Cloud Security: Apply and enhance cloud security controls; monitor and respond to incidents.
• Customer Enablement: Support solution teams with onboarding, training, and well-architected designs; publish reusable architecture patterns.
• Technical Support: Provide expert support for AWS services and resolve issues.

Your Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, EKS) and IaC tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps/CI-CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Hashicorp Vault, Prisma CNAPP).
• Experience designing landing zones, governance frameworks, and high-availability architectures.
• Extensive experience in IT, with AWS Cloud Engineer in large-scale environments.
• Proven track record in operational cloud management, observability, and agile processes.
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly.

This role oversees patch management, governance, and compliance with industry best practices and regulations. It ensures APA IT/OT systems follow an up-to-date patching regime, addressing security vulnerabilities per APA standards. Additionally, it involves analysing and improving patching practices, reporting compliance, and collaborating with stakeholders for effective risk management.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in complex environments, can work autonomously across various technological stacks, is able to challenge the status quo, and is confident in having tough conversations to drive continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Patching & Compliance Management: Provide Level 2 support for APA’s patching systems, oversee patching activities in line with vulnerability management standards, and ensure compliance through effective reporting and risk assessment.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with system SMEs, owners, and business units to design, implement, and remediate security controls, manage vulnerability risks, and refine patching processes to align with industry best practices.
• Security & Vulnerability Management: Assist in developing, refining, and governing security controls, application whitelisting, desktop security measures, and vulnerability identification tools while ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Vendor & Partner Collaboration: Work with vendors to resolve patching-related incidents, support outsourced partners in hardware patching execution, and engage security teams for vulnerability assessments and remediation strategies.

Your background

• Qualifications & Experience: A BSc in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related fields, OR equivalent hands-on experience in systems administration, patch management, or vulnerability management within a complex IT environment.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Microsoft technologies (SCCM, MCP, MCSE, MCSA, MCTS), Citrix, Ivanti, Intune, Tenable, Windows, VMware, and Cloud platforms (Azure & AWS).
• Security & Compliance: Knowledge of security frameworks such as PSPF, ISO27001, ISO27002, and familiarity with SCADA systems and IT governance best practices.
• Stakeholder & Communication Skills: Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, work autonomously, prioritise tasks in integrated, technical environments, and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Confidence in having tough conversations and the ability to challenge the status quo to drive continuous improvement.
• Operational Excellence: Strong commitment to ITIL processes (ideally ITIL V4 accredited), SLA management, conflict resolution, resilience under pressure, and a mindset for continuous improvement and HS&E best practices.
