Solutions Architect, Digital & Business Solutions

RSL Queensland (RSLQ) is a dynamic, not-for-profit organisation delivering innovative programs and initiatives that support veterans and their families. 

Our digital delivery and technology department of RSLQ, Digital & Business Solutions (DBS) holds a strategic responsibility to enhance, govern and manage RSLQ's capabilities across architecture, portfolio management, information security, data governance, digital delivery, and technology services.  

As our Solutions Architect reporting to our Head of Enterprise Architecture, you’ll: 

• take overall technical leadership to project teams in terms of the end-to-end solution, ensuring the designs and technologies are integrated to deliver an architecturally compliant implementation 
• champion the solution design, contribute to high-level project estimates, and ensure appropriate performance, scalability, interoperability and a pragmatic fit with expectations 
• lead the development of architectures for complex solutions, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with all customers 
• be accountable for the balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements 
• establish policy and strategy for the selection of solution architecture components, and co-ordinate design activities, promoting discipline to ensure consistency 
• manage the target design, policies, and standards while working proactively to maintain a stable, viable architecture that is consistent across projects within the programme 
• engage with the Enterprise Portfolio and business stakeholders to ensure consistency of delivery and shared learnings across DBS 
• lead business workshops, with business and IT management, to analyse and design solutions for any application and/or process gaps

About you: 

• relevant tertiary qualifications and/or an equivalent level of skills, knowledge, and experience (TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman, Open CA, and/or equivalent qualifications are also preferred) 
• 5+ years in an architecture role 
• demonstrated experience in undertaking the technical lead role in business engagements to drive clear communications, understanding and buy-in from with business and technology stakeholders 
• relevant experience in the development of technical and project management documentation 
• experience and technical knowledge related to information systems and technology architecture and design in a complex enterprise computing environment 
• expertise in business requirements translation into specifications, developing customer-centric solutions architecture, overseeing technical delivery, and ensuring design compliance 
• experience with Microsoft Azure, Dynamics F&O, Dynamics CE, Power Platform and SharePoint products (preferred)
