About the Role

We're looking for a strong Backend Software Engineer with a Python and Django-focused stack, deployed on AWS. You'll work across the full SDLC, from requirements and design through to build, test, deploy and support.

This is a hands-on role with real business impact, building data-driven applications, automations and integrations that support critical operational systems, alongside a small, collaborative team.

What You'll Bring

• Strong professional experience with Python and Django
• Comfortable owning solutions across the full SDLC, from concept to production support
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms, including containerised deployment
• Experience building APIs and data-driven integrations (JSON, YAML, XML)
• Working knowledge of SQL databases and database design
• A genuine team player who communicates well and collaborates closely with others
• Quick to pick up new systems in a fast-moving, varied environment
• Be either an Australian Citizen or on a PR due tosecurity checks

Highly Regarded

• Exposure to telecommunications or network environments (IP networking, device configuration, automation)
• Experience with microservices architecture
