The opportunity:
As a Senior Analytics and Insights Specialist you will be committed to delivering excellence in analytics, enabling effective portfolio-level program monitoring and driving reporting and analytics initiatives across multiple functional areas.
You will lead the delivery of analytics services aligned with internal standards, and will guide and assure analysts to meet technical and design standards, fostering a collaborative environment, enhancing the capability of multi-disciplinary teams.
You’ll develop and implement project and portfolio reporting dashboards to ensure consistency and provide comprehensive reporting and visualizations for the Major Projects Portfolio, covering multiple functional areas such as time, cost, risk, and assurance.
You’ll perform advanced analysis to deliver data-driven recommendations and ensure service continuity. Additionally, you will develop, review, and support standards, procedures, and management plans, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory reporting requirements.
Finally, you will mentor internal stakeholders to improve efficiency, system enhancements, and team analytics project management maturity.
The people you’ll join:
Based in our Bowen Hills office you will report to the Project Control Standards Manager within our Major Projects Office, who play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our major projects through effective governance and assurance - establishing our strategic aspiration to become a major developer that safely delivers complex and significant CAPEX projects over the next decade.
This team has established a dynamic culture of innovation and excellence, where each member’s unique expertise is further enhanced by a focus on collaboration and team delivery, ultimately leading to the collective success.
What you’ll bring:
You will have degree level qualifications in Data or Information Management, Data Science, Analytics or equivalent discipline or a lower-level qualification coupled with extensive data analytics experience across Engineering, Procurement or Construction project environment.
You have proven significant experience in a data analytic role across a sizable portfolio of large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within the energy sector.
Additionally, you will have extensive knowledge of Owner’s Team project delivery models and portfolio reporting to senior leadership level with experience using reporting platforms such as Power BI, and knowledge of project reporting and management tools like Primavera P6, EcoSys.
Finally, you will have an understanding of PMBOK earned value principles and their application within a major project management.
