If you can harden systems from on‑prem to AWS, hunt down Indicators of Compromise, and turn frameworks like the ASD Essential 8 into business‑as‑usual, this is your frontline seat at the heart of the energy revolution.
With respect, integrity and honesty, responsibilities include:
- Own security posture across cloud, on‑prem and OT platforms, driving compliance with ASD Essential 8, AESCSF, SOCI and ISO 27001.
- Harden & defend: implement CIS, NIST and AWS best practices, configure monitoring & logging, and lead forensic investigations end‑to‑end.
- Lead incident response — triage, containment, remediation and executive post‑mortems that sharpen our playbooks.
- Champion identity security: design and optimise AD / AAD, Okta, PingID and MFA solutions for zero‑trust access.
- Embed DevSecOps by partnering with delivery squads to automate security controls, penetration testing and IaC governance.
- Coach & uplift: mentor engineers, run threat‑hunting workshops and cultivate a learning culture of continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in dedicated cyber‑security roles with demonstrable AWS workload hardening & SIEM / SOC exposure.
- Proven track record aligning to ASD Essential 8, ISO 27001 or NIST SP 800‑53; AESCSF knowledge ideal.
- Deep hands‑on skill with IDAM platforms (AD/AAD, Okta, Ping, Microsoft Authenticator) and zero‑trust principles.
- Forensic investigation & threat‑intel chops — you can gather evidence, trace root cause and close the loop with lessons learned.
- Strong grasp of virtualisation & containerisation (VMware, Hyper‑V, Docker, Kubernetes) and DevSecOps pipelines.
Sharp problem‑solver with stakeholder finesse, you translate technical risk into business language and keep calm under pressure.
