The opportunity:

As the Secondary Systems Testing Specialist, you will provide specialist testing services and technical support for the state-wide maintenance and support of substations' secondary systems. This role involves reviewing and developing Secondary System Procedures, Work Instructions, and providing guidance and training to the MSP Field Teams as required.

Specifically, you will:

• Provide competent and cost-effective technical support to field teams and customers in various groups and divisions.
• Develop and implement robust systems to ensure all secondary systems equipment is appropriately tested and verified.
• Review and develop testing standards and technical strategies for secondary system equipment.
• Perform detailed technical investigations and reporting on issues related to secondary system equipment.
• Provide expert technical advice on new work methods and practices for secondary system equipment.
• Ensure continuous improvement by reviewing work methods and processes.
• Develop and deliver training for field personnel on secondary system equipment testing.

The people you'll join:

Located in Brisbane, you will be a key member of the Operational Engineering division, directly reporting to the Team Leader Specialist Systems.

What you'll bring:

• Degree level qualification in Engineering (Electrical) with experience in testing and commissioning of secondary systems, and training development and delivery, or lower-level qualification with significant experience.
• Queensland Electrical Fitter Licence and a Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence.
• TAESS00015 - Enterprise Trainer and Assessor Skill set.

You will bring in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in secondary systems automation and relay testing, along with a strong background in testing IEC61850 systems. Proficiency in the use and application of Doble Test Equipment and software is essential.

Your expertise will include managing and producing secondary systems relay test plans, developing and delivering secondary systems relay testing training, and other related training activities. You will possess specialist knowledge of Secondary Systems Testing methods, methodologies, and fault-finding practices.

You will excel in working with limited supervision and broad direction, taking initiative to achieve goals and improve processes. You will be adept at reviewing existing and developing new maintenance tasks in secondary systems testing, as well as preparing detailed Technical Reports and Work Procedures.

While not mandatory, having demonstrated knowledge of substation secondary system design would be highly desirable.

Technical expertise:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in digital security compliance or in a related area and must have worked on at least one full SAP implementation project as a SAP Security Consultant or Compliance Analyst.
• Expertise in SAP GRC Access Control with ARA – Access Risk Analysis, BRM – Business Role Management, EAM – Emergency Access Management are all critical to this role.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting internal/external audits, compliance activities and negotiation experience with Cyber Security to address Cyber Uplift initiatives.

• Experience in an integrated/automated access provisioning environment.
• Understanding of Governance, Risk and Compliance frameworks and application of SAP compliance objectives.

Qualifications and certifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline and/or equivalent industry experience and demonstrated competence appropriate to the position. 
• SAP/Governance Risk Compliance/Security Certification not mandatory but preferred.
• Industry and vendor certification pertaining to the technologies utilised in EQL. 
• SAP Security/ Information Security OR Cyber Security Certifications.

Collaboration skills:

• Strong communication skills are essential, with a proven ability to proactively engage and communicate with external vendors as well as internal stakeholders/project managers.
• Proven experience in building and managing relationships, dealing with internal and external auditors.

This is an amazing opportunity to work on the latest SAP Platform and EQL is the leading organisation to roll out the S/4 HANA 2023 FP 02 version along with BTP and other integrated SAP and non-SAP services/solutions. 5. Demonstrated experience and understanding of survey development for sustainable travel behaviour (e.g., mode choice, choice experiment, theory of planned behaviour) and demand analysis.

6. Proven experience in successfully delivering externally funded research projects and writing competitive research grant applications.

7. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the capacity to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

In this role you will manage the Asset and Works Management Functional Services and enable the team’s success through the active delivery, support and guidance, and continuous optimisation of the team’s delivery framework. Ensuring that the technology and solutions are appropriate and meet business requirements.

Specifically, we are looking for:

• Previous experience working in a leadership role in an SAP environment including demonstrated domain knowledge of SAP S/4 EAM.
• Experience with SAC analytics, Data Sphere and Enterprise Content Management are desirable. 
• Proven ability to lead functional staff in planning, troubleshooting, assessing risk and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
• Demonstrated experience of associated technologies in the EAM lifecycle and willing to support some of the other technologies used within EQL.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain contemporary management practices including performance management, change management, quality management, employment equity and workplace health and safety, and the ability to foster a customer service focus. 
• Demonstrated experience in taking ownership of deliverables, building exceptional working relationships and fostering teamwork within multi-disciplinary teams containing both internal and external resources to ensure that the EAPS Groups’ strategic initiatives are met, and operational targets are achieved. 
• Proven ability to manage continuous improvement initiatives logically based on business priorities, cost of delay and the capacity available to launch and execute new initiatives within the Foundation Services.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to building effective contractual arrangements that support the effective working relationship between internal and external service providers in the life cycle management of customer facing services.
• High level of interpersonal communications and negotiation skills in a complex and highly technical business environment, including the ability to consult and influence the decision-making process.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or business or equivalent qualification and/or demonstrated competence appropriate to the position.
• Core SAP experience of minimum 5+ years.
• Experienced in application of agile methodology and toolset.

The Engineer Software (Mobile) contributes to supporting the creation of new and/or improvement of existing applications, interfaces, and content that will support a collaborative, connected and engaging digital experience. The role will demonstrate competence in developing on various mobile platforms (iOS, Android and Flutter) and be able to develop using user-centred design approaches, with a focus on quality to ensure compliance with appropriate quality frameworks and industry standards. The role is part of a team that works across various digital platforms. The work undertaken by this team is critical to driving business efficiencies and ensuring that day-to-day IT client computing runs smoothly. The appointee may be required to be contactable and/or work outside of standard business hours on occasion. These instances will be treated in accordance with the relevant provisions in the Enterprise Agreement for Professional Staff.
