Westport is a program which sits within the Transport Portfolio. It is the long-term project that is progressing Perth’s proposed new, world-class port facility in Kwinana, which will unlock Western Australia’s economic growth, allow for the evolution of Fremantle, and deliver local jobs and opportunities in our southern suburbs.

The Opportunity

We are building a diverse and inclusive team of experienced and innovative Project Engineers to support the delivery of groundbreaking Marine & Ports Infrastructure projects at Westport.

As an Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading medium to large maritime-related projects, ensuring their efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in driving success through the development of solutions within a significant marine civil engineering infrastructure program.

These roles are offered as part-week or full-time roles which alongside flexible working provide those with relevant experience and passion for engineering with other commitments to apply and help shape the future with us.

There are currently the following positions available for immediate filling:

1 x Principal Project Engineer (SCL5) – Full time/ Part time fixed term to 30 June 2028.

3 x Project Engineer (SCL4) – Full time/Part time fixed term to 30 June 2028.

What is a recruitment pool?  

This is a pool recruitment process; we use recruitment pools to build a bank of talent who we feel might be suited to future opportunities within the Department of Transport. You may join us on a full-time, part-time, fixed term or permanent basis however an appointment is not guaranteed. 

 

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next Twenty-four (24) months from date of first appointment across the Department of Transport.
