The opportunity
As the LMS Product Manager at aXcelerate, you’ll take ownership of our native Learning Management System and shape the strategic vision that drives ongoing product success. The role is all about enabling a stellar learning experience for students, while building a great platform for content authors, assessors, and administrators. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs, monitor market trends and define a clear, achievable roadmap. You’ll champion discovery, prioritisation and delivery practices that ensure we ship high-value, user-centric features aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities
🧭 Product vision: Lead the strategic direction for the learning management system, setting a clear and compelling vision that aligns teams and drives meaningful outcomes.
🤝 Stakeholder collaboration: Engage closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer needs, market trends and business goals, translating insights into actionable requirements.
📊 Roadmap ownership: Prioritise features and enhancements, define MVPs and maintain a transparent roadmap that guides delivery for the next three months and beyond.
🧩 Backlog management: Refine and organise design and development backlogs, ensuring teams have well-defined, high-value tasks ready for each sprint cycle.
🚀 Feature delivery: Partner with engineering to scope, plan and deliver quality features on time, ensuring initiatives meet project goals and positively move key metrics.
📣 Release communication: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Professional Services to articulate feature value, produce clear release notes and support documentation, and ensure customers understand product changes.
🔍 Continuous improvement: Contribute to refining processes within the Product Team to improve efficiency, delivery quality and cross-functional alignment.
About you
● Min 2-3 years of commercial experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or relevant transferable role.
● Strong understanding of product management methodologies and the product development lifecycle.
● Experience working with cloud-based applications, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
● Skilled in stakeholder communication, problem-solving and balancing competing priorities.
● Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time-management abilities.
● Experience with Product development tools such as Jira, Figma and Amplitude, as well as proficiency with using AI tools in your workflow.
● Ability to work collaboratively across different departments and disciplines in the business and align people around a shared vision.
● Excited by creating exceptional digital products and understanding what drives product success in the market.
● Passionate, driven, and motivated to tackle new challenges while learning along the way.
● Experience working with or using Learning Management Systems. (Desirable)
● Exposure to the Australian VET sector or aXcelerate products, and experience contributing to software development or QA processes. (Desirable)
