The role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll hit the ground running as part of our dynamic engineering team powering the aXcelerate platform. Your focus will be on building secure, high-quality software focusing on front end software development while collaborating in an agile environment alongside juniors, seniors, and team leads. This is an opportunity to shape the systems and technology that underpin our product.

You’ll bring:

⚛️ Frontend expertise with React and TypeScript.

💻 5+ years’ full-stack development experience with proficiency across a range of technologies.

🔧 High proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows.

⚡ Proven experience resolving customer-facing issues effectively and efficiently.

📖 A collaborative and learning mindset seeking to improve teamwork and to stay current with new technologies.

🐳 Experience with containerisation and serverless technologies in AWS (desirable).

🛠️ Backend experience building APIs and serverless functions with Node.js (desirable).

The Role

In this role, you’ll use scalable communication, automation and digital content to support our mid-tier customers throughout their lifecycle. You’ll design targeted digital journeys, interpret customer health and behavioural insights, and implement proactive interventions to drive retention and product adoption. Working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing and Support, you’ll help deliver consistent, high-quality experiences at scale and reduce the need for traditional high-touch engagement. What You’ll Do

✨ Digital engagement: Manage a large customer portfolio using automated and scalable communication strategies, including email campaigns, one to many events, and digital lifecycle journeys.

📊 Customer insights & risk reduction: Monitor health scores and product-use metrics; identify risk indicators; and deploy automated interventions to reduce churn and increase adoption.

🎥 Digital education: Create and deliver content such as webinars, that empower customers to self-serve effectively.

🤝 Cross-functional collaboration: Share customer insights with Product, Support and Marketing to enhance feature adoption, reduce escalations and improve user experience.

🔄 Continuous improvement: Refine automation workflows, contribute to digital success strategies and influence the maturity of our digital engagement model.

About You

• Min 2+ years’ experience in Customer Success or a digital engagement role.
• Proven ability to manage large customer portfolios using scalable, automated communication methods.
• Strong understanding of customer lifecycle management and product adoption strategies.
• Comfortable interpreting data, usage metrics and health indicators to inform action.
• Experience developing or delivering digital content (email campaigns, webinars, guides, etc.).
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills, with a strength in clear customer education.
• Proficiency with CRM and automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot or similar).
• Able to manage competing priorities and deliver consistently at scale.
• Calm, structured approach to managing escalations and problem-solving.
• Highly proactive with strong ownership and follow-through; comfortable in iterative, data-driven environments.
• Desirable: experience in EdTech and SaaS; exposure to cross-functional collaboration; and/or contributing to a scaling Customer Success function.

The opportunity

As the LMS Product Manager at aXcelerate, you’ll take ownership of our native Learning Management System and shape the strategic vision that drives ongoing product success. The role is all about enabling a stellar learning experience for students, while building a great platform for content authors, assessors, and administrators. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs, monitor market trends and define a clear, achievable roadmap. You’ll champion discovery, prioritisation and delivery practices that ensure we ship high-value, user-centric features aligned with business goals.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, communicates with clarity and focuses on delivering meaningful improvements for customers and the business.

Responsibilities

🧭 Product vision: Lead the strategic direction for the learning management system, setting a clear and compelling vision that aligns teams and drives meaningful outcomes.

🤝 Stakeholder collaboration: Engage closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer needs, market trends and business goals, translating insights into actionable requirements.

📊 Roadmap ownership: Prioritise features and enhancements, define MVPs and maintain a transparent roadmap that guides delivery for the next three months and beyond.

🧩 Backlog management: Refine and organise design and development backlogs, ensuring teams have well-defined, high-value tasks ready for each sprint cycle.

🚀 Feature delivery: Partner with engineering to scope, plan and deliver quality features on time, ensuring initiatives meet project goals and positively move key metrics.

📣 Release communication: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Professional Services to articulate feature value, produce clear release notes and support documentation, and ensure customers understand product changes.

🔍 Continuous improvement: Contribute to refining processes within the Product Team to improve efficiency, delivery quality and cross-functional alignment.

About you

● Min 2-3 years of commercial experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or relevant transferable role.

● Strong understanding of product management methodologies and the product development lifecycle.

● Experience working with cloud-based applications, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.

● Skilled in stakeholder communication, problem-solving and balancing competing priorities.

● Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time-management abilities.

● Experience with Product development tools such as Jira, Figma and Amplitude, as well as proficiency with using AI tools in your workflow.

● Ability to work collaboratively across different departments and disciplines in the business and align people around a shared vision.

● Excited by creating exceptional digital products and understanding what drives product success in the market.

● Passionate, driven, and motivated to tackle new challenges while learning along the way.

● Experience working with or using Learning Management Systems. (Desirable)

● Exposure to the Australian VET sector or aXcelerate products, and experience contributing to software development or QA processes. (Desirable)
