As our lottery’s proud custodian, the Commercial & Investments department is thrilled to announce this pivotal role, Manager – Digital Analytics, to ensure insights from digital analytics are used to drive growth, engagement, and efficiency.  

Reporting to our Senior Manager – eCommerce in our Digital Lotteries team, key responsibilities include: 

  • Own the GA4 stack: end-to-end setup, configuration, and continual optimisation, underpinned by a solid measurement framework. 
  • Run GTM like a pro: dataLayer maintenance, custom event tracking, variables & triggers, plus routine audits that keep our data accurate and compliant. 
  • Deliver insight, not just data: explore advanced GA4 segments, identify journey drop offs, and package findings into plain-language recommendations and dashboards (Looker Studio or similar) that non-technical teams act on. 
  • Fuel experimentation: translate analytics into high-impact test hypotheses, help define success metrics, and partner with our eCommerce testing specialist on A/B and multivariate website testing. 
  • Master attribution & audiences: refine channel-ROI models, build first-party audiences across Google & Meta, and sync segments from BigQuery/CDPs for smarter targeting and insights. 
  • Champion data governance & privacy: uphold naming conventions, QA checklists, automated alerts, and privacy-centric tagging solutions, so our analytics are future-ready. 

What you'll bring: 

Mandatory 

  • Hands-on GA4 ownership (implementation and ongoing optimisation). 
  • Deep GTM expertise. 
  • SQL / T-SQL and BigQuery (or equivalent) skills to query GA4 export tables and join CRM / transactional data for unsampled, holistic insights. 
  • Proficiency in Looker Studio (or a similar tool). 
  • Evidence of using analytics to unlock revenue or engagement growth. 

Desirable

  • Audience-activation know-how: CDP or warehouse feeds into Google Ads Customer Match, Meta C-API, etc. 
  • Experience with Sitecore Personalize or other CRO / personalisation platforms. 
  • GA4 or BigQuery certifications. 

To be competitive for this opportunity, you’ll offer: 

  • 5+ years in digital analytics, with 3+ years at senior analyst or manager level. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Analytics, BI, Computer Science or equivalent commercial experience. 
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. T-SQL / SQL). 
  • Demonstrated experience in translating analytics into high-impact test hypotheses to help drive CRO.
