Finance, Audit & Risk Committee Member (Volunteer)

Girl Guides Queensland is one of the state's largest organisations dedicated to girls and young women, supporting almost 4,000 youth members through leadership development, personal growth, community engagement and adventure-based learning. For more than 100 years, Girl Guides has empowered girls and women to discover their potential as leaders of their world. Governance of the organisation is provided by the Board of Directors, supported by specialist committees that strengthen oversight, accountability and strategic decision-making. (Guides QLD)

The Opportunity

Girl Guides Queensland is seeking expressions of interest from women with experience in information technology, digital transformation, cyber security, data governance, systems management, technology risk, or related fields to join the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee.

This voluntary committee role provides an opportunity to:

• Contribute to the governance and future direction of a respected Queensland not-for-profit organisation.
• Support the Board in its oversight of finance, audit, risk and organisational performance.
• Bring contemporary technology and digital expertise to committee discussions and decision-making.
• Gain valuable governance experience within a Board environment.
• Work alongside experienced directors and senior leaders.
• Contribute approximately six hours per month, including committee meetings and follow-up activities.
• Be considered for future Board opportunities, with committee membership viewed as a valuable pathway to Board service.
