The bdna Products team of business analysts, engineers, testers and forensic subject matter experts work closely with law enforcement and forensic laboratories to improve forensic service delivery through specialist products.

What you'll do

Lead a team of DevSecOps engineers and collaborate across teams to deliver the following across bdna's software products:

• DevOps advocacy
• DevOps implementation and monitoring
• Infrastructure design and provisioning, including 
• System ops / administration, security, cost management and compliance 

DevSecOps advocacy

• Champion the DevSecOps way in bdna
• Liaise with and educate support and development squads on DevOps approach
• Analyse existing processes to identify gaps and remedies.

DevSecOps implementation and monitoring

• Lead the adoption of code driven infrastructure deployment (IAC)
• Implement and share tools for monitoring and managing infrastructure resources
• Manage and configure assets for performance monitoring, analytics, and audit-ability
• Support releases onto bdna and customer infrastructure which may involve occasional after-hours work

Infrastructure design and provisioning 

• Work with Architecture to implement bdna’s SaaS infrastructure, including security controls
• Design, build, and optimise automation systems and procedures to maintain the platform and data
• Lead the implementation of security best practices in Azure, including identity and access management, network security, encryption and monitoring, in collaboration with bdna’s security team.
• Design the use of features and licences to minimise bdna’s usage costs
• Manage and maintain a record of all infrastructure assets.

System ops / administration, security and compliance

• Ensure appropriate monitoring of terms of service, performance, capacity and security for compliance with expected standards to protect bdna and its clients from security risks, compliance concerns, and data breaches.
• Lead the response to production issues related to the SaaS infrastructure and environment.
• Regularly audit the SaaS resources purchased, used, and overall utilisation. Monitor license and feature utilisation to ensure operational and cost effectiveness
• Lead the response to SaaS security and compliance questions from bdna’s current and prospective customers.

Team Leadership

• Manage a group of highly motivated DevOps and/or security engineers 
• Interface with the support and software teams as required, including participating in agile ceremonies
• Participate in all aspects of DevSecOps Engineering and promote industry standard methodologies in DevSecOps Engineering

Education and Experience

• Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or related field
• At least five years relevant experience 

Work Eligibility

• Must be in Australia and permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen) (Required)
• NV1 security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain clearance required
