The opportunity
As an Engineering Officer for our Advanced Energy Management System (AEMS), you will be responsible for performing display conversions, remediation, and maintenance tasks, while ensuring the integrity of the database. You will collaborate with various internal stakeholders to ensure the AEMS operates smoothly and efficiently.
Specifically, you will:
- Ensure accurate data conversion and maintain the integrity of the AEMS database
- Support and maintain data conversion for supporting systems, including data historians
- Validate and remediate AEMS displays, ensuring high quality and consistency
- Introduce new technologies and best practices in Energy Management Systems to optimise network performance
- Manage AEMS software, including patch management, security, and administration, ensuring real-time high availability
- Conduct detailed fault analysis to ensure the high availability of the AEMS and associated services

This critical role, reporting directly to our AEMS Team Leader, is part of our Energy & Digital Management team. It requires a high degree of originality, ingenuity, judgment, and expertise.
We are seeking passionate professionals to help us deliver cutting-edge technologies that streamline processes, enhance customer experience, and introduce innovative ways of working.
What you'll bring
- Advanced Diploma or other relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
We are seeking a skilled professional with experience in Energy Management System (EMS) operations including real-time and study applications.
The ideal candidate will have considerable demonstrated ability in utilising SCADA data communication technologies and Microsoft Office. You should have the ability to apply upgrades and software modifications to minimise operational interruptions and meet user requirements. Strong skills in configuring complex technology-based systems, analysing faults, and resolving issues in time-critical tasks and projects are necessary.
Additionally, you should be adept at utilising change control and configuration management processes to ensure real-time system availability and have the capability to configure and administer operating systems.
